From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I need to get on with my life. Tired of staying indoors, editing this wonderful Wiki. I want to thank the many people who made my stay here memorable, and there are many to whom I owe more than just my thanks. If someone could revert the odd vandalism for me, perhaps remove a silly IMDB ref from an article or two and give out a barnstar every now and again, my place would be more than taken.

I may yet return, but if I do, it'll be under a different account name, maybe someone will recognize me, but I doubt it.
Good luck to you, the reader, may your life have some purpose.

Give a hearty thought,
To the loss of hours
Days wasted, with worth lacking,
Time spent but not spent well,
How fortunate you are,
That you have a life to live at all.
With empty days filled
And times wasted unwasted,
You will have a life to which death

is not unwelcome, but earned.

My WikiPoem - HEED THE WIKIPOEM.

Re: Bye![edit]

Thank you for the barnstar! I sincerely hope you return soon! You've produced so many amazing articles, and regardless of what you might think, Wikipedia will not be the same without you. Are you going to check in once a while on the status of your GANs? Ruby2010 comment! 15:55, 30 July 2011 (UTC)

Pretty much what Ruby said, although I must add that new accounts who are content-creators are hard to come by nowadays. What will MoTD do without you? --Σ talkcontribs 16:32, 30 July 2011 (UTC)
This is upsetting. You're one of the nicest editors I've met on her and really helped me learn some of the ropes when I first began. =/ I hope to see you back soon. HorrorFan121 (talk) 20:06, 30 July 2011 (UTC)

I understand, if you feel you need to go. But know that you'll be sorely missed! Your work here made Wikipedia a better place for everyone. I wish you the best in whatever you do, and I hope our paths cross again. – Quadell (talk) 20:24, 30 July 2011 (UTC)

The Anti-Vandalism Barnstar
It's a great shame you're leaving. I've often admired your work, though I don't think we've interacted beyond my blocking the vandals you reported to AIV. Please accept this, rather belated, barnstar, as a token of my appreciation for all your hard work. Folks sometimes feel the need to move on in life, and nobody should remain where they're not enjoying themselves, especially not on a volunteer project like this, and others shouldn't try to stop them from leaving. But if the mood takes you to return, the door will always be open. All the best in whatever you do with your new-found free time. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 01:26, 31 July 2011 (UTC)
  • Thank you for your parting words, I will miss you all too. Ruby2010, I don't think I'm going to be able to fulfil the reviews because I'm moving into an apartment that doesn't have internet connection pretty soon. I'm going to essentially put them up for offer (bit bizarre), but since there are no rules against it, you can fill out the review requirements yourself if you would like, if not it'll just be one more article without GA status. I suggest anyone else can do the same? To anyone, I'd also like to request that someone look after 2012 (film) for me, because it frequently receives - not bad, but newish edits - and sometimes needs some reverting, if someone could guardian angel watch over it, that'd be a wonderful favour. Something else I want to add[edit]

--Σ talkcontribs 23:16, 30 July 2011 (UTC)

Bye :'([edit]

I will definitely miss you. The annoying, rude vandals regularly harming Wikipedia possibly were too much for you to endure, and I already have that feeling too. They need to leave the computer and do so constructive things in their lives. Life is a theater of learning.

Just remember that Wikipedia won't be the same without you. Good luck :'(

Always best regards to you, and God Bless You.

Thanks. If you continue to be as civil and sympathetic towards other editors as now then you will gain a very large amount of friends and supporters on this site. Live and prosper! That Ole Cheesy Dude (Talk to the hand!) 12:16, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

Parting shot[edit]

Wow. Really? You think "I need to get on with my life" means "Wikipedians have no life"? You take a parting shot when you know the other guy isn't available to respond? Wow. – Quadell (talk) 12:37, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
I've read that entire essay and found it to be nothing less than utter genius, I seriously recommend anyone to read it. And no, I have not left because I've been personally attacked or any such occurrence, especially as seems to have been suggested over here (I'm really not that petty), more I have left because Wikipedia became something that seized every aspect of my life that I would rather that it not have and secondly, I am moving into a new apartment soon and need to focus on my real life and getting it into order. Good-bye![edit]

It is a great wonder to me what MOTD will do without you. I only knew you for a short time, but on the grapevine some little birdies were always cheeping about you. Wikipedia now has a great hole in it, but we will treat the rookies well to take your place. With warm regards and a heavy heart, I bid you farewell, though I am not fond. User warning for 76.243.38.76[edit]

Hello—I've been browsing through 76.243.38.76's contribution history after noticing several disruptive edits and decided to read through his long list of warnings at his talk page. Since you were the last one to give him a warning, I have to ask: What warning-level did you give him? This user's been blocked at least twice already, and it appears you delivered a good faith warning in the assumption this guy is trying to be helpful. Hasn't the assume good faith ship sailed? I really wish you would've also applied WP:BOLD in this situation so we can prevent further vandalism. I respect your patience and I'm also a supporter of WP:AGF, but if you notice this guy around please be much firmer next time around. Thank you.

Best,

The Special Barnstar
When I saw that you have left, I myself decided to leave, although you may be long gone by now, I really missed you from Wikipedia, as it wasnt itself without having my best mate around. Hope we meet. ^___^ MayhemMario 13:58, 26 August 2011 (UTC)

GA nomination of Up (2009 film)[edit]

Hi Cheesykid, I know you're retired and all that but I am letting you know that I have reviewed your GAN for Up at Talk:Up (2009 film)/GA1 and have put it on hold. If you are willing to return for a bit to clear things up, feel free to comment at the nomination page. Crisco 1492 (talk) 03:10, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
