To-do list[edit]

Sequence reads article[edit]

  • The article Read (biology) is a stub: could expand by discussing difference between paired-end and single-end reads.
  • Could probably also mention something about Nanopore sequencing too.

NZ dairy industry[edit]

  • Dairy farming in New Zealand article needs expanding (SuggestBot).
  • Things to add: DIRA, introduction of herd testing and AI.
  • Many stats are out-of-date (from 2007) Updated most of these now.
  • Nothing about EBL eradication or Mycoplasma bovis under diseases section.

DGAT article[edit]

  • Diglyceride acyltransferase could be expanded to include info on various milk QTL associated with the K232 mutation.
  • Link to GPAT4 article too: also has milk QTL and is in the same metabolic pathway.

SLC37A1[edit]

  • There is currently no article for this gene. Now added a stub article for this gene based on SLC37A2.
  • The article for SLC37A2 is almost empty too. Should copy new content from SLC37A1 over.
  • Add Kath Kemper's work on this gene with milk QTL.Done.
