Trials and Tribulations of Stephania

I am Stephania Rengifo, I was born in Panama City, Panama, although, I was raised just about everywhere else. I lived Europe for eight years, and then later on moved to the U.S where I am currently a student at Georgia Southern University. I am pre-law with a major in International Studies and a minor in French. I hope to one day a job at an embassy overseas or to work for the United Nations. I would like to pursue my law degree at Columbia University in New York. I am Catholic, and was an officer for my church youth group and was very involved with the Catholic community in my town. I attended Richmond Hill High School for three years, and Ramstein American High school in Germany for one year. Over the years have attended eleven schools total, from small schools to even home-schooling. I play soccer, and am a part of my schools emerging French club. I speak three languages with Spanish being my native language. I also speak fluent American English and French. In high school I was a part of the Model United Nations club where I traveled to Russia and participated in an exchange program, and attended a mock UN summit. Throughout my travels and experiences I have met many people and learned very much regarding everything from music to politics.

Technological Experiences

Being a product of the nineties I have grown up around the internet and all forms of technology. In elementary school I was already taught to do power points, and then throughout middle school with the emersion of websites such as Myspace I was introduced to the world of html. Cleary I am not oblivious of technology. Throughout high school I also took various computer courses and now am enrolled in a Global Technology course at my University. In high school I had been taught that Wikipedia was bad and that just anyone could contribute. I know now that these opinions are completely ignorant. I feel that Wikipedia is a very quick and useful source of information. I now find myself constantly looking up random information, and also correcting and contributing my own information So far I have made a few contributions to Wikipedia recently. I have made grammatical corrections, and added to a few different pages. Under “Hollister Co.” I added a tab called the Look Policy regarding the dress code at the store Hollister. I have also contributed to the “Panama” article and a few others.

Been There Done That

I was lucky enough to have lived in Europe for eight amazing years, it was a huge privilege and allowed me to see many things that most people don't see in a lifetime. I have traveled to over fifteen countries, which I feel has given me a very open mind, and a very privileged view on the world. Having traveled and seen so much I feel that I have been able to learn and understand so much more about the crazy, yet small world we live in. Currently I have mostly traveled to countries in Europe but I hope to one day see the rest of the world. I've seen it all, from the Kremlin to the Eiffel Tower, and I hope that list grows ♥.
