Lorentz invariance[edit]

In the presence of a cavity, the mode spectrum of the electromagnetic field inside the cavity is no longer Lorentz invariant.[1]

Note that the compactification of the space breaks the Lorentz symmetry and introduces a privileged frame.[2]
