Hateful nationalistic rhetoric like in your edit summary here has no place on Wikipedia. --87.79.188.197 (talk) 20:22, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

Although I understand your sentiments I do think you probably need to lighten up a bit. After all, I did not write anything even remotely partial in the article itself. I merely put a humorously meant remark into the edit logs. Admittedly it probably wasn't the most graceful thing to do, but I do suggest you don't (anonymously!) try to make it into something bigger than it really is.
By the way: I didn't mention my own nationality anywhere so I fail to see what is nationalistic about it...

Germany v England

I would suggest that taking the morale high-ground in the manner you just have probably isn't for you after reading the above complaint. The latest edit in the above topic was calmly thought out and reasonably constructed. Please do not remove such topic on Wikipedia as it is considered vandalising. Please see this edit . Calm? Reasonably constructed? Clear WP:NPOV violation I'd say.
I understand your frustration over being denied a clear goal, but I'm considering POV-section tagging.Skysmurf (talk) 15:25, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
Note to add:
With the heat of the moment passed and the hottest heads cooled down (and sobered up, presumably), the current version of the section in question is worded more neutrally and level-headed, so I no longer consider it necessary to POV-tag it.
However, I am still watching the page, looking out for England "fans" abusing Wikipedia as an outlet for their frustrations. Skysmurf (talk) 14:57, 29 June 2010 (UTC)

Nota bene

This edit was completely useless and unencyclopedic. Wanna work at a live online ticker? Kindly go create one elsewhere.

The edit summary on this edit is just plain unsettling. Kindly go be a fanboy elsewhere.

And maybe come back when you're an adult. --87.79.175.44 (talk) 17:49, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

Dear mr. Anonymous,
In the first edit that you mentioned I merely indicated that a certain match is in progress, as we've been doing the entire tournament. I have not provided live updates, as some other editors have done, In fact, I actually opposed that idea as you could have (but probably haven't) read here. You are being absolutely ridiculous.
Regarding the second edit: I updated the page to indicate the final score. That is a verifiable fact. I also updated the page to place the winning team in the semi finals. That too is a verifiable fact. In the edit logs, I wrote (quote verbatim) The Netherlands eliminate quintuple champions Brazil. Again, this is a verifiable fact. I didn't write "Yeehaaa, Holland kicked Brazil's ass, up yours!" or anything even remotely like that. I was being completely matter-of-factly.
Your last comment really says it all: come back when you're an adult. The only suitable reply to that would be: right back at 'ya. Idiot. Skysmurf (talk)
You're talking the expected nonsense, kiddo. I was not criticizing your second edit, only the edit summary you used. My criticism of it and of the first edit I mentioned still stand. You should not be editing Wikipedia. --78.34.254.101 (talk) 16:04, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
I politely decline to further dignify this trolling nonsense with an answer. And I certainly don't appreciate being addressed as kiddo. Skysmurf (talk) 18:41, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
