Sam Carlin worked as an AmeriCorps member with the Carolina Mountain Land Conservancy in Hendersonville, North Carolina in 2008-09. Sam holds a B.A. in English Literature from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and is currently working to become a certified arborist. His interests include Victorian literature, Chaucerian studies, backpacking, stamp collecting, and Panthers football.
