My name is Yaping Li(if you like, you can call me Sherry). Currently, I am a graduate student majoring in Information Science at University of Pittsburgh. Even though everything here is new since this is the first year of my life in America, I love this place very much.

In School of Information Science, I am tracking the specialization of Big Data Analytics. The volume, velocity and variety of big data make it extremely challenging to store, retrieve, analyze and utilize this information. I'm interested in acquiring technical knowledge and technologies relevant for big data management.

In my undergraduate, I majored in Electronic Commerce at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. I've gained the knowledge of online commerce, web as well as java.
