Inherited a blushing problem from past Rosies.

I'm Rosie, I'm an Archivist at the University of Stirling and honourary Archivist at the Royal Lyceum Theatre, Edinburgh in my spare time. I'm originally from Manchester and have been living in Scotland for 9 years now. If I weren't an Archivist, I would probably be a florist and if I didn't live in a city, I would probably own a garden and spend all my time in it. Long-time Harry Potter enthusiast[1] and serial tea-drinker.

Education[edit]

I have an MA (Hons.) in Classics from the University of Edinburgh and an MSc. in Information Management and Preservation from the University of Glasgow.

Theatre (Acting)[edit]

Once upon a (pre-Archives) time, I performed as part of the Edinburgh University Theatre Company at Bedlam Theatre[2], Theatre Relief (University of Edinburgh), Theatre Paradok (University of Edinburgh)[3], Jamboree[4] and beyond.

Career[edit]

I spent three years volunteering at the Archive at Scottish National Gallery of Modern gaining my pre-qualification experience. I worked on the collections of such artists as Roland Penrose, Jankel Adler and Conroy Maddox and such institutions as Visual Arts Scotland. During my Archivist qualification, I worked on the archive at the Traverse Theatre, producing an original dissertation on engaging researchers and the wider public community in theatre archives.
