Hefty is a brand name of disposable kitchen ware, and cleaning products such as trash bags and trash cans. There product line includes moulded and lose foam packaging, tableware, children’s disposable tableware, slider closure food storage and freezer bags, and disposable cookware.

Hefty was founded by Mobil Corporation,^[when?]^{[citation needed]} and then was brought and sold throughout the 90's and 00's eventually being brought by the New Zealand private equity fund Reynolds Group Holdings in 2010.

Hefty is also the surname for individuals from the Glarus Canton of Switzerland. Immigrants to the United States settled in New Glarus, Wisconsin.
