Hi Peter,

Here is a text that I suggest would fit in the introductory section of the Lissamphibia page. It would replace the flawed text stating that Gerobatrachus implies a more recent origin of Lissamphibia than molecular work (see the Talk page of Lissamphibia for explanations). Here goes my suggested replacement:

The suggestion that the Permian dissorophoid Gerobatrachus hottoni is a stem-batrachian supports the hypothesis that extant amphibians are polyphyletic. However, the position of this taxon is uncertain; it may also be a stem-tetrapod.

Is this enough information for you to determine where to place this? Of course, feel free to edit if you wish, or not to add, if you disagree. I would not have placed mention of Gerobatrachus hottoni right at the beginning of this section (I don't think that the fossil is important enough for this, Doleserpeton being perhaps more important), but I don't want to change that page too much at once. Other references should probably be added too, but this is a test of feasibility for you and me, so I will keep this small, at first. Thanks, Michel Laurin (talk) 22:38, 8 December 2012 (UTC)
