Interrad specializes in products primarily used by interventional radiologists, anesthesiologists, and vascular access nurses. Interrad's current products include an innovative subcutaneous catheter securement technology.
This technology is the first use of a subcutaneous anchor to secure trans-cutaneous medical devices to the human body. This technology may supplant adhesives, sutures, and other current technologies which are associated with manifold negative effects. For example, many human patients cannot tolerate adhesives. This can make it difficult to secure catheters which may be needed to deliver antibiotics, chemotherapy or similar required therapy. If this technology is proven through clinical studies to be effective, a difficult problem facing many patients today may be solved.
