Musicman2059 (Real name: Adam Advocaat, alt nickname: Moofey) was born on 1984 Dec 28 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. After growing up a problematic child in school, he was eventually diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, formerly an Autism Spectrum Disorder, at age 11. Today, he is a mild mannered loser that still lives with his father and stepmother in a suburban townhome, blaming the lack cost of living in one of the least affordable cities in the world as his reason for doing so. (It's probably not) When he isn't spending too many hours in front of his computer or training, he works the afternoon shift at a nearby Sears Canada warehouse.

Early Life[edit]

Musicman2059 had trouble in school up until his diagnosis, and even in the first couple of years of high school thereafter. It wasn't until he moved to the suburbs that he started to flourish in school, eventually graduating from Gleneagle Secondary School with honours. He was a very dedicated music student, having been part of school bands since sixth grade going straight through until graduation, and was part of the School District 43 Honour Jazz Band in his senior year. His highlight from his school year was when he and 119 other students from the music department went to the San Francisco Heritage Music Festival in May 2001; Gleneagle's five music groups would score the highest out of every school in the festival. Musicman2059 also received awards for "Outstanding Dedication to Music" in his last two years of high school. Despite this, he has not played an instrument since graduating, and has gone on record to say that one of his biggest regrets is dropping something as much as he loved as music and wishes to get back into playing.

At home, Musicman2059 did not always get along very well, sometimes putting his actions before his words. He would need to be constantly intervened with in regards to his temper, and his knack for letting it get out of control. Though he initially grew up in an Atheist home, his stepmother would introduce him to Christianity in his tweens.

Following his diagnosis with Asperger's Syndrome, given his love for sport, Musicman2059 signed up for Special Olympics, something that he is still heavily involved with to this day.

Adult Years[edit]

Musicman2059 struggled in his early 20s to get himself moving forward in life. After failing to get anywhere in the Information Technology field, he lived primarily off a disability benefit and off subcontract work from being an off-ice official for recreational Ice Hockey games at a local rink. It wasn't until February 2013 that he would land a job as a result of Target's expansion into Canada.

Musicman2059 has not let his disability stop him from getting involved with typical social groups. He typically gets along with most people, though may be quick to judge others. Generally he is liked at work and fits in with a number of groups, primarily with his interests in Gaming. Despite this, he remains single, stating that his mentality changes for the worse when in a relationship and that he becomes too demanding on his partner. He does, however, have love interests.

Since starting in Special Olympics, Musicman2059 has achieved everything short of a Special Olympics World Games. (His father, however, was an assistant coach for Team Canada's alpine ski team at the 2013 Special Olympics World Winter Games in Pyongchang, South Korea.) He has not missed a Provincial Games (both Summer and Winter) since 2003, and has participated in four different sports at the provincial level; Alpine Skiing, Softball, Floor Hockey and Athletics. He participated in the 2004 Special Olympics Canada Winter Games in Charlottetown, PEI in 2004, where he won two gold medals. More recently, he participated in the 2014 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games in Vancouver, where he won three bronze medals with the BC Athletics team. Though he initially didn't qualify for the next level, in January 2015 he was called up to the Team Canada soccer team for the 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Musicman2059 has also since become an active athlete leader as a member of the Special Olympics British Columbia Athlete Speakers Bureau, through which he has given a number of high-profile speeches, including alongside Vancouver Canuck Ryan Kesler at the 2009 SOBC Sports Celebrities Festival. He was also nominated for the 2013 SOBC Spirit of Sport Award for the respect he holds for his fellow athletes. He also calls himself a "Proud member of the Dignity Revolution" as part of the "Spread the Word to End the Word" campaign, which fights to end the derogatory use of the word "retard." He also worries that the word "Autistic" is starting to suffer the same fate as the so-called "R-word," saying that now the fight has gotten personal for him as a result.

He also stays involved with generic sports, though more as a volunteer in various degrees. He volunteered for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver as a Print Distribution Associate at the Cypress Mountain venues, and was present when Alexandre Bilodeau captured Canada's first Olympic gold medal on home soil in the men's moguls. In addition, Musicman2059 volunteers for the BCHL's Coquitlam Express as a game timekeeper, which he has done since December 2011.

Musicman2059 describes himself as a major gaming hobbyist; Something he does a lot of in his spare time. Currently, he owns a number of modern systems, including an Xbox 360, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Wii U, PlayStation Vita, and Xbox One. He does, however, have a habit of buying way more games than he actually finishes. His genres of choice tend to lean towards classic platformers, racing, role-playing games, and rhythm games. Though he would like to be involved more in multiplayer shooters and MOBAs, he says that he feels like he's just too old to put up with the "toxic" mindset that stems from these games. He does, however, watch some e-Sports, primarily that of League of Legends, and sometimes boasts how he has been friends with the girlfriend of retired Counter-Logic Gaming jungler Steve "Chauster" Chau, whom he met while he was still playing the popular Free-to-play MMORPG MapleStory.

Musicman2059 states via his Twitter account that he has two weaknesses; The first being to the word "Objection!" This primarily is the result of him getting hooked on the Ace Attorney franchise. This was shown by the fact that he had spent more than 90 hours on the series' latest release, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies, though it only took roughly 25 hours to finish the game. This is most likely a result of trying to find every funny quip within the games.

His second "weakness," he shamefully admits, is the Vocaloid software program. He credits this mainly due to his passion for music combined with his desire to return to playing music again, plus the program's technological nature. Despite this, he only became aware from it shortly after the release of a certain Japanese voicebank that is now extremely popular. He considers his slight fascination with the program shameful not on the voicebanks, due to his age and how developer Crypton Future Media has personified their own voicebanks, claiming he's "too old for this s***."

Despite this, he says that if he was 18 years old all over again, that both Hatsune and Dual Destinies character Athena Cykes would be his "perfect matches as far as fictional characters go"; The former for being both musical and generally cheerful, and the latter for being tech-savvy, athletic, and "being able to tighten the loose screws in my head."
