Hampton Roads Magazine is the lifestyle and city magazine based in the Virginia Beach resort in the Hampton Roads area, in the southeastern corner of Virginia, USA.[1]

The magazine was founded in November 2000 by Randy Thompson, and it is published ten times per year by Vista Graphics, a privately owned and operated publishing firm. It has a circulation of 45,000.[citation needed]

The magazine covers culture, arts, lifestyle, and topics relating to the region, which includes the cities of Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Williamsburg and the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Topics include dining, arts and entertainment, special events, local people and places.

It is the only full color, glossy, subscription based lifestyle publication in the Hampton Roads region.[citation needed]

The award winning publication has been recognized by the Virginia Press Association for outstanding design & presentation, specialty, health, science and educational writing and its columns.[citation needed] Hampton Roads magazine is a member of the City and Regional Magazine Association and the Virginia Press Association.[citation needed]
