User:Magnoliasouth/Christie Short Stories

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is a work in progress. I posted on a talk page about creating this list. If and when I finish, I will post it in the original article. This and any notes after the table below are to be deleted, but it helps me remember where I'm at on the article.

I'm open to discussion on this. Poirot's stories are not her only short stories. Should we break the Marple stories into their own? Or should we integrate them into one long list?

This is a list of short stories, written by Agatha Christie. For the Poirot TV series, whose stories do not always match, please see this page.

Notes[edit]

  1. ^ Not listed in Hercule Poirot: the Complete Short Stories: a Hercule Poirot Collection, but at AgathaChristie.com instead.
  2. ^ The magazine went through a number of title changes, to include a title change in 1929, but on that date in 1929 it was Hutchinson's Magazine.
  3. ^ The actual September/October edition.

* The official AgathaChristie.com website is not to be entirely relied upon, because of numerous factual errors. For example, the site incorrectly states that Triangle at Rhodes was first published in May of 1936, but evidence has proven that it was specifically 23 February 1936 (see "Series List" from Galactic Central, below; and a snapshot of the site's story page]). A second and more glaring example is Four and Twenty Blackbirds. The site claims it was published in Mystery Magazine in April of 1926 (see the snapshot of the page). The magazine was printed on the 1st and 15th of every month. Images of both can be found here (or the snapshot), the story (even under other names) is not present. These are only two of many.
