From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is where I talk about my views about Wikipedia policies, guidelines, etc... My philosophies are:

  • Moderate Immediatism
  • Moderate Statusquoism
  • I'm in between Encyclopedism and Communityism. The whole point is to make an encyclopedia, but the reason anything works at all is because of the community; if everyone put the encyclopedia over civility, good editors would leave, disputes would escalate beyond repair, POV-pushers and trolls would become more powerful, and ultimately the encyclopedia would fail.
  • Communalism
  • Mostly Sysopism, with room for Rehabilism and a dash of Politicism.
  • WikiPacifism
  • Admins: Evidence that they would not misuse the tools (not the same as no evidence that they would misuse the tools) and they always must be civil.
  • Neutrality: On must subjects I think Basic skill applies, but on more heated issues, it's more like Elusive virtue + Community view. Of course, I think that Unattainable absolute is technically true, but that shouldn't stop us from trying.
  • Semi-Factionalism
  • Vandalism: Personally, I think it's mostly a nuisance. Vandalism should be reverted, but it's always a good idea to see if they had a legitimate reason for changing it, even if their change was disruptive.
