Wiki Purpose

I find it unfortunate that many details are lost to history. I participate in wikipedia by drafting and editing articles on politicians and political activists, parties, candidates, authors, and books as a part of the first draft of history.

Wiki Philosophy

I think it is preferable to drop subjective language -- such as "long standing claim" --- in favor of technical languag, like a "claim dating to 1816".
