My name is Karan Jaswani. I am a Graduate Student at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. My major is in Computer Science with specialization in Human Computer Interaction. I am currently working in GroupLens on video-mediated technologies for remote collaboration systems. I received my under-graduate degree in Computer Science from Vellore Institute of Technology, VIT University, India.

- Designation : Senior Software Engineer
- Developed a tool to determine Graphics Device Interface (GDI) usage and leaks in Windows Applications. Worked on analyzing the usage of the GDI objects and suggesting the best ways to consume them.
- Helped peers adopt best practices on technical fronts: Memory Leaks, UI development, Component Object Model, industry coding standards through training sessions and workshops.

- Implemented inter-process communications using named pipes between applications having varied bit architectures.
