Chipurson valley[edit]

In The northern Area of Pakistan Chipurson valley the beautfull valley in west of Sost, the last settlement along the Karakoram Highway before you reach China.


Chapursan Valley is populated primarily by Ismailis who speak the Wakhi language and Burushaski ( only Raminj village ),Wakhi is one of the oldest and purest languages in the region. Most residents of the valley are dependent on livestock such as sheep and yaks for their sustenance.

Geography[edit]

Chapursan Valley Consist of Over 500 Household , 4500 plus population and 11 Villages. From Sost Side the Village are Yarzirich, Raminj, Kirmin (Rahimabad, Noorabad, Aminabad), Khill, Rashit, ShereSubz, Ispanj, Shitmerg and Zood Khun ( also Slept as ZuwudKhoon , Zoodkhun & ZudKhoon ) . After Zood Khun pastures are Yashkuk, Kukchaizem, Biban Joi, Koorban, Korkot, Joi Sam, Dainkut, Khudayar Alga, Kimkut, Aston ( Baba Ghundhi ), Yashwoshitk, Shipodkut, Pomiri( Pamiri ), Pamir and more. all the name of village and pastures are in Wakhi language.

Weather and Enviroments[edit]

there are four seasons ( spring, summer, autumn, winter).

spring start from first of april , cultivation start on 20th but the frozen snow in january and February , melt in march.

winter is very harsh ( goes to negitive 15 degree ) ,so the snowing and wind make life more difficult. resident of chipurson stored foods from their irrigation , store tones of patato and dry vegies. in winter they bring Wood from their jungles and buy many bags of coal ( import from China in sost ) which is not enough but some how normal the tempurature home .

Spring begins on 21 March (Novroz) to greet spring and good bye winter, the Wakhi community regarded as Shogun is the special way to do it. In the morning, the ladies bring water from the channel on this day, make traditional food (baat, Molida, Chumos, and more local dish), are the main things on which some grains of wheat fall.

After this, every member of the village gathers at the Jamaat Khwana, prays and wishes for the coming year.
