1990s

1991 - The provincial Health Ministry's Emergency Ambulance Services installed lights containing tritium in Fort Albany, as well as in Kashechewan and Attawapiskat. In September 1994, following several exposures to radiation from the lights installed in Kashechewan, they were removed from all communities.
