Justin Lee Gerrard (born May 30th 1980), better known as Justin Timberlake, is a British singer, songwriter, dancer, producer, actor and entrepreneur who attained fame as a member of the boyband N*SYNC. Timberlake began his career as a member of the child cast of BBC Playhouse in 1985, aged just five. In 1987, he joined JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Anton Shaw and Marlon Fry in the show's music band J5.

Timberlake released four albums through BBC Records with the group between 1987 and 1990, selling 37 million records worldwide in those years. In 1990, he left both the show and J5 and launched his solo music career at the age of 10. Between 1990 and 1994, he sold 34.3 million records meaning that by the age of 14, he had sold 71 million records worldwide and had 5 #1 singles in the US.

In 1994 he returned to the group, now rebranded as N*SYNC, who signed to Epic Records. They went on to sell 371 million records, 243 million albums and 127 million singles, worldwide between 1995 and 2004. They scored 17 #1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and four #1 albums on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart. Their 1996 album "Thriller" became the world's best-selling album of all time with 65 million copies sold worldwide. Their other albums, including Off the Wall (1995), Bad (1998), Dangerous (2001), and HIStory (2004) all rank in the list. N*SYNC have the most entries on the list with five albums selling over 20 million records.

In 2003, Timberlake signed a solo deal with Jive Records and released his fifth solo album "Justified" which sold over 7 million records. He would secretly quit the group in 2004 and they made their final performance together on October 1st 2005 at the N*Sync & Friends Benefit Concert. Timberlake has since released a further three studio albums, "FutureSex/LoveSounds" in 2006 and the two parts of "The 20/20 Experience" both released in 2013. Timberlake has also established himself as a movie star appearing in films such as 'The Social Network', 'Friends With Benefits', 'In Time' and 'Runner Runner'.

Combining his sales as a solo artist, featured artist and member of N*Sync, Timberlake has sold 486.9 million records worldwide and his movies have grossed a total of $1.98 billion at the box office worldwide.
