Production and release[edit]

The pilot has been over two years in the making. In the process, Ashley Odell, who formerly worked on Twelve Forever, was a background painter, and did art direction [1] while Isabella Lion put together the lettering title for the pilot. [2] She was also an illustrator for the series. [3] Some of the pilot's character design was done by Brian Bae. [4] Mark Steven Soto is a music composer while Alice Seatherton did some 2D animation. [4a] Whitman said he was inspired by The Dragon Prince, saying that the show is an inspiration for this series. [4a2]

In March 2020, the show's official account put out a call for 2D animators, especially "rough & cleanup animators." [4b] In August 2020, it was announced that the animation was half completed, with the rough animation almost completed, with animation and FX effects by José B. Rebolledo. [5] In October 2020, rough animation for the pilot was released, which was animated by Zeurel. [6] The same month, Whitman said that it was "coming along really nicely" and that he hoped to share more soon. [7]
