I am new

I am new and sort of overwhelmed. I decided to get an account to allow me to help edit and write to fill the void left by the lack of a composition class (I am a sophomore in college) at the present moment. However, the many intricacies if wikipedia are difficult at times. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
