I am a Registered Master Farrier, a founding member and former officer of the Guild of Professional Farriers, and author of the Dictionary of Farrier Terms and Technical Language as well as various articles featured in equine and farrier magazines over the past twenty years or so.

My wife and I own Prophet's Thumb Ranch in North Carolina, where our herd includes Belgian and Percheron draft horses, American Quarter Horses, mustangs, and sundry lameness rehabilitation cases.
