Dafrito is actually a person named Aaron who lives in the wonderful world of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, and has done so since the age of 2. His birthday is May 16, 1987.

Etymology[edit]

The word 'Dafrito' was created due to the fact that I didn't have any other nickname other than Javert, which I never really liked, and was simply something I thought up to have one at all. It was created by combining Frito and Dorito. It's usually shorthanded to Frito or Daf, though ironically I don't even like Fritos.

Things Dafrito does[edit]

Dafrito does, has done, or likes the following:

  • Uses the :P too much. Usually he means it to intend silliness in something that could be considered offensive, like the difference between "You do that too much" and "You do that too much :P" Most of the time it is not intending to cover up offensiveness, rather than to highlight that it is not offensive in the first place.
  • Programming. Off and on since my father gave me my first computer, an American XT, at the age of four. Now, much more on than off, he has moved on from QBasic and into the dangerous world of C++. He also programs in Javascript, though this is only very recent.
  • Writes left handed. As a matter of fact, he is left-handed.
  • Dug. In a place in our backyard, he used to dig holes in the ground around this tree, which was cordoned off by railroad ties as larger trees often are in suburban yards. This place was called Topper Hills, and we dug in it from antiquity up until middle school.
  • Drinks Dr. Pepper. In incredible quantities.
  • Misses the departure of 'It's Pasta Anytime.' My God, what a glorious age that was, that I could have pasta from nothing to consuming in the span of three minutes. Unfortunately, my unhealthy habits of eating ALOT of them could not stop them from being discontinued, or so it seems. If anyone reads this and works for Kraft or somehow influences business decisions, then please, please, bring them back. However, I now have Easy Mac, so it's not so bad.
  • Goes to the University of Texas At Dallas and is majoring in Computer Science.
  • Messes with DirectX. The day I put my first primitive on the screen made me a bit closer to heaven. Speaking of which...
  • Likes Max Payne, Half-Life, Half-Life 2, Total Annihilation (And subsequent expansions. That game is f'ing awesome.), Age of Empires (and subseqent sequel), Starcraft and Warcraft (To a lesser extent. I appreciate the greatness of TA much more than the simplicity of these.), World of Warcraft (Which caused the failure of many a class a six weeks during high school. I play it alot less now than I did.), WinRoids (It's like Asteroids), Lemmings (Glorious game.), Halo (Though only recently.), Counter-Strike (Scout's fun.), Team Fortress Classic (I was never too good at this.), Caesar 3 (Awesome city simulator, plus it was about Rome and stuff, which I like, too.), SimCity (Fun at its time, too crappy for me to enjoy now.), SimAnt (Same thing), the Sims (Kind've an embarassingly fun game.), and Pong. You can't get enough Pong.

Things Dafrito does not like[edit]

  • Vandals. Why?
  • Coca-Cola. Nothing like DP.
  • Overly dramatic people. Please, just stop.
  • The fact that when I take off my headphones, and still have the music playing, it gets slightly flatter and I can hear it.
  • Forgetting to wear a belt. Most annoying thing.
  • Getting an itch on the top of my mouth, and trying to itch it but it only makes it worse. I will call these recursive itches. Inaccessible itches are also unliked by me.

Things Dafrito has done for the Wikipedia[edit]

  • Very little, unfortunately. Randomly fixed typos here and there, planning to expand the pathfinding article soon. Most recently, I've updated various tidbits concerning Hurricane Katrina and New Orleans articles.

Speaking of which, I have found that whenever I read on, let's say, CNN.com and find a typo, I have this urge to try to edit the page.
