Who is this Coder Steve?[edit]

Background[edit]

What experience and background does he have that applies to the stuff he edits or writes?

He's just some guy with a great wife, kids and grand-kids who's done all sorts of things and lived all sorts of places– from sailing and diving on shipwrecks to timberline skiing and hiking; from shipping clerk and digging ditches to running a couple of successful small businesses. He pretended to be a photographer for a short time. He's lived all over the Western US (including a Pinto station wagon for a while, then a pickup camper, and eventually a sailboat) and, temporarily, a few places in SE Asia.

He's a Christian, mostly, (but not always a good example of one), although he spent most of his time so far in various aspects of the software development industry. Much of that was in Radio and TV Newsroom software, a bunch in Medicare/Medicaid and health insurance, and now in Manufacturing, all of which was mostly split between Unix/Linux development and MS Windows user-land.
