Conor James McManus (born 16 June 2004) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a left back for Premier League club Brentford.
McManus is a product of the Cabinteely and Bray Wanderers youth systems and began his senior career at the latter club, before transferring to Brentford in 2023.
Career[edit]
Bray Wanderers[edit]
A left-sided full back or central defender,[2] McManus began his career in the Cabinteely youth system and moved over to the Bray Wanderers U19 team when the two clubs merged in 2021.[3][4][5] He progressed into the Bray Wanderers senior team and made 16 League of Ireland First Division appearances during the 2022 season.[3][6] McManus departed the club in January 2023.[3]
Brentford[edit]
On 15 December 2022, McManus signed a pre-contract to join the B team at Premier League club Brentford on a 2+1⁄2 year contract, with the option of a further year.[3] On 1 January 2023, he transferred to the club for an undisclosed fee.[3] During the 2023-24 season he gained experience as a left centre back.[7]
