Dimitris Kyriatzis (born 28 November 1998) is an English semi-professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper.

Kyriatzis began his senior career with non-League club Henley Town, before signing his first professional contract with Brentford in 2016. After his release the following year, Kyriatzis returned to non-League football and played 18 months of lower league football in Germany between 2018 and 2019.

Career[edit]

Youth years[edit]

A goalkeeper, Kyriatzis began his career in the youth teams at Laurel Park, Eversley & California and CB Hounslow United and concurrently trained with the Fulham academy.[3][4] He made the first senior appearances of his career while with Hellenic League First Division East club Henley Town during the 2015–16 season and departing the club in March 2016.[5][6]

Brentford[edit]

Kyriatzis trained at the academy at Championship club Brentford throughout the 2015–16 season and made 24 appearances for the club's Brentford Griffins team during the season.[6][7] He joined the club on an academy contract March 2016.[8] Less than a month later he was called into the Development Squad and remained an unused substitute during a 4–0 defeat to Huddersfield Town on 2 April.[9] On 25 June 2016, Kyriatzis signed a one-year contract to be a part of Brentford's reformed B team.[10][11] Having spent much of the 2016–17 season behind goalkeepers Ellery Balcombe and Dominic Kurasik in the B team pecking order and after spending time away on loan with the Stevenage U18 team, Kyriatzis was released in May 2017.[12][13]

Non-League football[edit]

After a trial with Dutch club Achilles '29 and a non-playing spell with Woking,[14] Kyriatzis joined Southern League First Division East club Hayes & Yeading United on 14 October 2017.[15] That same day, he made his only appearance for the club with a start in a 4–0 defeat to Ashford Town (Middlesex).[16] He immediately joined Combined Counties League Premier Division club Godalming Town, with whom he remained until late January 2018.[4][17]

Inter Leipzig[edit]

On 31 January 2018, Kyriatzis moved to Germany to join NOFV-Oberliga Süd club Inter Leipzig.[4] In what remained of the 2017–18 season, he made six appearances and he signed a new two-year contract in July 2018.[18][19] Kyriatzis made 31 appearances during 2018–19 and left the club at the end of the season.[18][20]

Return to non-League football[edit]

Kyriatzis returned to England and joined Hellenic League Premier Division club Burnham early in the 2019–20 season.[21] After making four appearances,[21] he transferred to Isthmian League South Central Division club Bedfont Sports in October 2019.[22] Kyriatzis made 61 appearances during just over two years with the club and transferred to Southern League Premier Division Central club Royston Town in November 2021.[22][23][24][25][26] He was a part of the club's 2021–22 Southern League Cup-winning squad and made 57 appearances before his departure at the end of the 2022–23 season.[27][28][29]

AO Ellopiakos[edit]

Kyriatzis began the 2023–24 season with Greek Gamma Ethniki club AO Ellopiakos.
