Chocolate covered strawberry[edit]
There are two types of chocolate covered strawberry, dipped or covered.
Chocolate Dipped Strawberry[edit]
The oldest method of covering strawberries with chocolate is the chocolate dipped strawberry. This can be done with a home recipe. Recipes abound, but generally consist of fresh strawberries, and melting semi-sweet chocolate chunks. The origin of this method is unknown.
Chocolate Covered Strawberry[edit]
The second and newest method of creating gourmet chocolate covered strawberries referred to as the dried chocolate covered strawberry. Marich Confectionery was the first confectioner to successfully cover dried strawberries with chocolate and won industry awards for doing so.
