MSTC Ltd., formerly known as Metal Scrap and Trade Corporation Limited, is an Indian Public Sector Undertaking, engaged in the business of Auctioning and Trading. It is a company incorporated under the Companies Act 1956 and a "Government Company" within the meaning of the act. The headquarters of the company is situated at Kolkata.
It was founded by Government of India in 1964, which now holds 89% of its equity shares.
In Mar 2012, MSTC was conferred Miniratna status by the Union Government of India.
