These units carried Youngman Lotus VIN plates. CamPro S4PH engine assembly later commenced in China through the Hangzhou Yaman Engine company. The Chinese-made CamPro engines have a different 'S4PH-HYM476Q/P' engine code. Youngman would later fit in the Mitsubishi 4G15M VVT engine in select models to pass stricter CO2 emissions standards. The 4G15M engine was produced by Harbin Dongan Automotive Engine Manufacturing.

What could it be ?

Code	Possible answers	Some considerations
PL1	Proton Malaysia	Almost every Proton VIN starts with 'PL1'.
BT3	Saga or Savvy, 1.3L engine	'BT' is the platform code used for all second and third generation Saga models, as well as the Savvy. '3' denotes that this car has a 1.3-litre engine. However, the Savvy only came with a 1.2L engine...
S	4-door sedan	Now we know it's a sedan. At this point, it's quite safe to say that the car in question is a Proton Saga from 2008 or later. But which Saga is it ?
T	CVT2 (Punch)	The VIN tells us that the car has a Punch VT2 CVT. We can rule out the Saga BLM, since the BLM 4-spd auto has a 'R' transmission code.
R	Right-hand drive	Most Protons are right-hand drive.
H	2017	At this point, we can safely guess that this is a third generation Saga 1.3L CVT. However, there may be a slight possibility that the car could also be a second generation Saga FLX 1.3L CVT. An important note : Malaysia doesn't really use the 'Model year' classification. We do however use '2016 build' or '2016 batch' instead. If a car was manufactured in the second-half of 2016, it may have a '2017 build/batch' model year code on its VIN, even though it was actually manufactured in 2016.
B	Shah Alam (Original plant / Plant 1)	Contrary to popular belief, Proton actually has three plants; two in Shah Alam and one in Tanjung Malim. The first Shah Alam plant began operating in 1985. Some years later, Proton constructed a smaller plant within their Shah Alam complex, near the original plant. This second plant is called Medium Volume Factory (MVF), and began operating in 2000. Proton's third plant in Tanjung Malim went operational in 2004.
000471	Unique identifier	The unique identifier '000471' does not necessarily indicate this car is the 471st unit off the production line.
