Partula hebe is a species of partulid within the genus Partula. The species is referred to as the rose-tip partula[1], and is endemic to Raiatea.

Captive breeding[edit]

P. hebe is in the breeding program and ever since the last 9 individuals were brought into captivity the captive breeding for this species has been extremely successful.

Phylogeny[edit]

Phylogenetic analyses found that P. hebe is sister to the P. rosea-P. varia clade.[2]

Taxonomy[edit]

P. hebe was originally described in Bulimus (B. hebe) before being moved to Partula.

BULIMUS (PARTULA) HEBE, Pfr. Bul. testa perforata, globoso-conica, tenui, sub lente minutissime decussata, hyalina; spira brevi, bonica, acuta; anfractibus 41/2 planis, ultimo spirum superante, globoso; columella brevi, subplicata; apertura lata, subsemicirculari, callo dentriformi porfurado in ventre anfractus penultimi coarctata; peristomate intus albo-calloso, undique breviter expanso.
