Origin / MP 0.0[edit]

Various sources give different starting points for the Waseca division: ranging from Minnesota City, and the junction with the CPRR, to Goodview around MP 4.9, where the Soo gained trackage rights starting in 2015 (according to the Federal Register) [1], to Tower CK, to the downtown Winona MP 0.0 under the Interstate bridge.

All other mileposts being the same, going back to Stockton at MP 11.14 on the Main street crossing, the Tower CK is not 0.0. The 0.0 is somewhere downtown Winona where the W&St.P built the freight station on the Levee. Group29 (talk) 22:00, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Using the numbers from the 1959 Chicago and Northwestern Track chart, the old MP 0.0 is between Washington and Winona streets. When the bridge was built, it was on the curve, bur originally was on the old depot and steamboat freight house.[1][2] Tower CK is 1.8, Minnesota City is 6.
