Layout error in placing {{userpage}}?[edit]

When I use this template in my archives, I see that the last thing it does is place {{userpage}} to be absolutely positioned at the bottom of the page. However, absolutely positioning something with CSS means that it overlays whatever is in the last 80 pixels or so of the archive—so not everything is visible. It's pretty obvious on this page, for instance.

I'm using Safari 3.2/Mac, but I don't think that that's a factor.

Am I the only one running into this? Dori ❦ (TalkContribsReview) ❦ 03:28, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You're not the ony one; same here under Internet Explorer & Firefox. I'm replacing this template on my talk page archive with {{Talkarchivenav}}. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 11:50, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I've started using {{User:DoriSmith/templates/UserTalkArchive}}, which does what I need. And anyone else who wants to can use it as well. Dori ❦ (TalkContribsReview) ❦

UserTalkArchiveBox[edit]

The { {UserTalkArchiveBox} } on your main user talk page creates a little "Archive" box with links to all your archive pages automatically.

Not working for me. Sean Brunnock (talk) 19:42, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Sean Brunnock: It was deleted, as mentioned in the documentation. Try {{Archives}} instead. ― Qwerfjkltalk 19:54, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
What are you talking about? The documentation for this template states: "Add a link on your standard talk page to the Archive page { {UserTalkArchiveBox|auto=long} }". It's step #7.Sean Brunnock (talk) 20:00, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'll fix that in a moment; it's incorrect. ― Qwerfjkltalk 07:22, 8 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
