Josephus mentions[edit]

Josephus mentions several towns and villages sacked by the Romans during the first war with Rome, therefore, there is room to expand this template.Davidbena (talk) 00:10, 5 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed this template is designated for expansion.GreyShark (dibra) 19:37, 5 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Some Towns were only Captured by the Roman Army[edit]

I was wondering if it were not best to change the title of this Template to: "Towns and fortresses destroyed or captured during the First Jewish–Roman War by region"? Currently, the title of the Template reads: "Towns and fortresses destroyed during the First Jewish–Roman War by region."

The reason that I suggest an altered name is because there were other towns and villages that were not destroyed during the First Jewish-Roman War, but rather only captured and garrisoned by the Roman army, such as Jamnia (Yavne) and Azotus (Ashdod), as described by Josephus in The Jewish War 4.3.2. (4.130). Perhaps the Template can include these cities as well.Davidbena (talk) 01:49, 2 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
