Replaced with Template:Bonked[edit]

The new |superbonked=yes parameter in {{Bonked}} produces the same output formerly produced by this template. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 20:58, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Because it's really, really central to our mission, that six editors can tell us they are "superbonked", and not merely "bonked"... Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 16:21, 9 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
As a BrE speaker, I was quite unsure what the message of this template was the first time. Alakzi (talk) 16:40, 9 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
"BrE speaker" - please clarify. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 18:11, 9 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
British English. Alakzi (talk) 18:21, 9 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed. "Bonking" is something else entirely for some people — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 19:47, 9 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Oh. Ah. I see now. Thankfully the template provides enough context so it's clear the, um, NSFW meaning isn't what is meant here. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 20:15, 9 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The template provides no context, and is most likely opaque to more than 50% of editors. It serves no useful purpose. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 22:24, 9 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The context of "hit the wall" clearly dovetails with the meaning of "collide with/hit/be hit", see wikt:bonked and wikt:bonk. The meaning is probably very clear to 90% of American-English readers. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 22:31, 9 September 2015 (UTC) Update: If you are referring to "superbonked", no, that isn't a word, but its meaning is clear to anyone who reads the template and who knows what "bonked" means in the United States. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 22:33, 9 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Attribution history must be kept[edit]

Due to the merger with Template:Bonked on 2015-09-07, it is necessary to preserve the edit history of Template:Bonked for attribution purposes. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 21:03, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
