Illogical merger[edit]

I am reversing the "illogical" merger proposed by user:Chicbyaccident last may 2018. The merger was done without notification to those who wrote the templates and it has been done with only one approval. It is noteworthy to pinpoint that the template about Europe is lacking nearly one hundred colonies! And what about the Roman colonies in Africa? IMHO Wikipedia needs enlargements and not mergers like this one: it would be better if we enlarge the template about Europe and if we create ther template about Africa. I've reverted back to the redirect while we discuss further. Template:Roman colonies in ancient Levant and Template:Colonies of Ancient Rome are navigation templates and, in accordance with Wikipedia:Navigation template, they generally do not contain entries for articles that do not exist, which I think might explain why many possible entries are not included, as you have pointed out. Expanding the template to include more articles that are germane would be a good thing, but you haven't yet explained how that relates to merging or splitting the template. You also haven't addressed the prevailing argument at Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2018 May 28#Template:Roman colonies in ancient Levant for the merge --Bsherr (talk) 20:33, 27 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with user 73.125.116.150.....It is illogical to merge: we need more templates!...Wikipedia needs enlargements and not mergers like this one: it would be better if we enlarge the template about Europe and if we create the template about Africa. If you wish to contest the outcome of a TFD, you should contact the admin who closed the discussion and/or start a discussion at WP:DRV. The end result will likely be the relisting of the discussion but not the overturning of the merge itself (unless the TFD disagrees with the merger). @Primefac and Bsherr: that was yet another user:brunodam's sockpuppet, trying to pursue his agenda of paranoid Italian nationalism. --Vituzzu (talk) 16:27, 13 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Ah. Well, viva l'Italia and TfD! --Bsherr (talk) 16:39, 13 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
