Sorting fix needed!![edit]

There's a HUGE problem with the template, as I see it:

The "sort" function doesn't properly sort player names. Sorting needs to be done by family name, NOT first/given name!

I don't know template syntax well enough to fix this, but I suggest the following:

Instead of only one "name" field, have separate fields for "first" and "last" names.
Name sorting should be done on the "last" field only.

Update: I just discovered that the "sortname" template can be used in the "name" field. Still, I'd rather see the template enable sorting by family name without this workaround. — Dale Arnett (talk) 19:53, 13 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I completely agree, it should sort by family name. Also, there should be an option to remove the "caps" field, for tournaments like the IRB Junior World Championship where cap information is not readily available. --Kafuffle (talk) 14:21, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
