Eastern/Western Conference Color Templates[edit]

Hey, this is something I just noticed very recently, but someone decided to put down darker colors of blue and red for the Eastern Conference and Western Conference respectively under some of the more recent NBA seasons by teams templates. If anything, the colors for those templates should be fixed up to a lighter shade of blue and red for those sections, similar to that of the Template:NBA page, for example. Anyone that has the power to do so, please fix the colors up so it fits the [design that helps those that have color blindness.] (I don't have it myself, but I do remember making sure I developed a website to help those with color blindness out, even though I don't remember the exact terminology used to describe said websites.) Thanks for understanding. – AGreatPhoenixSunsFan (talk) 02:40, 9 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Pinging Frietjes since she can make edits to protected templates. It was all fine until recent changes and know it is difficult to see some links. The NHL (Template:2018–19 NHL season by team) and NFL (Template:2018 NFL season by team) templates were not affected by the changes, but the same cannot be said about the NBA templates (Template:2018–19 NBA season by team). – Sabbatino (talk) 17:29, 9 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I see, the problem happened with this edit by Charlesaaronthompson. I changed to back to the same colors used in Template:NBA. Frietjes (talk) 19:01, 9 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
FYI, AGreatPhoenixSunsFan and Sabbatino, another option is to use the {{team roster navbox}} template which automatically colors the links. I have proposed adding a |stylelinks=yes parameter at Template_talk:Navbox which would enable this feature in standard navboxes. Frietjes (talk) 19:43, 9 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the help, everyone! :) – AGreatPhoenixSunsFan (talk) 00:08, 10 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for information. – Sabbatino (talk) 07:47, 10 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

NBA colours[edit]

I've recently become aware that some NBA templates are unreadable because of insufficent colour contrast (e.g. {{NBA draft history by team}}, {{NBA all-time rosters}}, and several others. They were fine back when I last touched them, years ago, and they've scarcely been touched since then, so what has changed, and how can it be fixed? (talk page stalker) It looks like it happened with this edit by Charlesaaronthompson on 11 June 2020. – Jonesey95 (talk) 22:06, 16 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Colonies Chris and Jonesey95: OK, I went through and fixed the wiki-code formatting for all the templates involved by that edit I made at Module:Sports color/basketball. These templates include, but are not limited to, {{NBA draft history by team}}, {{NBA all-time rosters}}, and the remaining templates affected. I hope this helps. Charlesaaronthompson (talk) 23:15, 16 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Charlesaaronthompson: Thanks for that. There is another template {{NBA season-by-season team history}} too - this looks OK now, but only because it had been reverted to an earlier version to fix the contrast problem. Could you please make your additional changes to the immediately previous version and make that the live version? Colonies Chris (talk) 09:36, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Colonies Chris:  Done Charlesaaronthompson (talk) 13:12, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Charlesaaronthompson: Thanks, but what I was trying to convey was that it was the slightly earlier version (67959266) that needs the changes, not the then-current version. Colonies Chris (talk) 14:15, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
