Template:Legendsofhockey is permanently protected from editing because it is a heavily used or highly visible template. Substantial changes should first be proposed and discussed here on this page. If the proposal is uncontroversial or has been discussed and is supported by consensus, editors may use {{edit template-protected}} to notify an administrator or template editor to make the requested edit. Usually, any contributor may edit the template's documentation to add usage notes or categories.

Any contributor may edit the template's sandbox. This template does not have a testcases subpage. You can create the testcases subpage here.

Broken link to Hall of Famers[edit]

I notice that this template will not work with Hall of Famers on the legendsofhockey.net website, due to the different URL syntax. For example http://www.legendsofhockey.net:8080/LegendsOfHockey/jsp/LegendsMember.jsp?mem=P197802#photo will lead to Jacques Plante, which is a much different format than http://www.legendsofhockey.net:8080/LegendsOfHockey/jsp/SearchPlayer.jsp?player=11269 which leads to Scott Pearson. I would use a seperate template, however I am not sure it would be possible to alter this one. But I don't know how to code these things very well, it might be possible to put in a switch that says to use the other url type if they are a hall of famer. -Djsasso (talk) 17:29, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
