Few suggestions[edit]

Hey, nice template, but I have a few suggestions.

  • under the system lenght header, there is a typo in 'Freight only' (which is spelled as 'Frieght only')
  • under the operaters header, it might be useful to split the 'major operators' section into a 'passenger operators' and 'freight operators'
  • under the electrification header, the voltage is on the right when filling in the electrification on the main network ('el'), but on the left for all other parameters, so this be changed

Could you look into this? There might be more, but I can't remember right now. 80.100.210.74 (talk) 21:04, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Map caption[edit]

Could some one add "|caption =" to the map in the template? In Railways of Montenegro the map caption went "missing". Besides that "|electrification =" appears to be missing from the template. Peter Horn User talk 00:38, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

An irregular effect[edit]

Please see Rail transport in Sweden, the detail of track gagues. As this template is used, it produces some irregular outcome. Should the input be improved, or is the template missing an option?

I might expect something like:

Track gauge
Main: 1,435 mm (4 ft 8+12 in)
Other: 891 mm (2 ft 11+332 in) (221 kilometres (137 mi))

Am I right? -DePiep (talk) 19:12, 3 September 2014 (UTC)sign is copied[reply]

@DePiep: Still odd. Peter Horn User talk 22:10, 28 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Peter Horn What are you doing? You copy/paste a 2014 text from me without context or reference??? And then you act as if you can put me to a job? Really? It's simple: what is your question? -DePiep (talk) 23:41, 28 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@DePiep: No, I copied and pasted the current template, I think. I'll try again. Peter Horn User talk 23:54, 28 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Peter, what is the problem? Just write: input is A, it shows B, I expect C because of XYZ. Now pls explain better. -DePiep (talk) 00:00, 29 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It is the appearance of the abbreviated infobox that puzzles me. Peter Horn User talk 01:01, 29 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The article is rail transport in Indonesia.Peter Horn User talk 01:08, 29 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I added the infobox again. Peter Horn User talk 01:31, 29 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
|gauge1 = {{Track gauge|sg}} & |gauge1length = (?) give a strange results. Peter Horn User talk 01:56, 29 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Peter Horn (I'm Sorry I was that rough on you. I was confused seeing my name this way).
This happens: the |gauge1= input is meant to appear on the lefthand side (as a label). I have added a demo for the similar |gauge2= |gauge2length= pair.
Also available is |ogauge= and |ogaugelength= for old gauges. Hope this helps. -DePiep (talk) 10:25, 29 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
No Problem, confusion cleared up. What is the missing length? Peter Horn User talk 14:35, 29 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know, should be in the sources of the article? -DePiep (talk) 15:35, 29 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Inconsistencies in length and ellength[edit]

While looking at something else I discovered some inconsistencies in the use of the length and ellength attributes. Such as; most use {{convert|...|km|mi|abbr|=|on}} but not all. Some use thousand separator, others don't. Etc. I thought it might interested you guys/girls. Full table: https://gist.github.com/jsekamane/a1b50dd5bd439df175868a9c915d766a
