This template (MLB yearly infobox variants) was considered for deletion on 2010 August 22. The result of the discussion was "keep".

American Association[edit]

There is a problem with this Infobox when used for pre-1891 AA teams. The "Current league" line will show American Association, but the article about the major league by this name is at American Association (19th century). Please use caution in applying this template to articles about AA teams, until this issue is fixed. --Russ (talk) 21:26, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's not a fix, but there is a workaround. Someone taught me a variation on the pipe trick today using another template in place of the pipe. Type current league = American Association (19th century){{!}}American Association. Mlaffs (talk) 04:01, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
