Add animations

The commons:Category:Order.gif_stroke_order_images contain all the 214 radicals animations (now finished !). So you can display them automatically. With :幺 = 2F5E = 7384, it should be a way to display the e image 幺-order.gif / *-order.gif image File:⽞-order.gif or or Yug (talk) 10:05, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

@Yug:  Done, the next logical step would be to add seal script (like ) and maybe static stroke orders (like ). I didn't do this because more articles have the seal script characters already, and they would be more tedious to remove afterwards. I think a bot should do it. I'm happy to write a pywikibot script to do it, but I'd have to get it approved as a bot account, I think? edit: There are only a couple of seal script characters which either don't exist on commons or don't correspond to the radical characters. Italicization

The large radical at the top of the infobox shouldn't be italicized, as radicals do not have an italic form. Same for the character linked to Wiktionary under it in subheader2. Opencooper (talk) 09:48, 12 August 2018 (UTC)

Nevermind, I figured out the issue and fixed it. It turns out that {{lang}} automatically italicizes any test written entirely in the Latin script, and since the template inserts the radicals using their Unicode codepoints, {{lang}} thinks it's just letters and numbers. Hant / Hans / Regional Glyphs

I noticed that the Kangxi infobox radical currently uses the Taiwan MoE glyphs to represent the radicals. Many of the Taiwan MoE glyphs do not represent the forms listed on the Kangxi dictionary despite that Kangxi uses traditional Chinese. A notable example is the "walk" radical. The Kangxi form is "⻍" while the MoE form is "⻎" as displayed currently. It looks like the Korean variant most closely matches up the Kangxi forms, but again, I am not sure if there are any differences between the Korean form and the Kangxi form. Damn that han unification thing.

The line is |above = &#x;. I am proposing to change to Hans, though I am not sure what impact it will have now, since some radicals like "骨" will have the square pointing left rather than right, making the glyph appear to have 9 strokes. The derived characters for each of the radicals all use simplified Chinese glyphs.
