Template talk:Infobox Bishopric

I propose that, before "province", there should be a category of "national church or episcopal conference." "National church" would apply to Anglican, Orthodox and Oriental bishoprics and "episcopal conference" to Roman Catholic ones. While this may seem more important in the Anglican and Eastern systems, episcopal conferences since Vatican II are also important in the Roman Catholic Church. I believe they were also important for a long time before Vatican II but became less important for a while, cf. the Pope's traditional title as Primate of Italy. Colours[edit]

Episcopal signature[edit]

A new field in the infobox for "episcopal signature" (generally bishop's first name followed by abbreviated Latin name of see, i.e. see Bishop of Exeter intro) would be useful, anyone know how to add that?(Lobsterthermidor (talk) 08:50, 10 August 2014 (UTC))[reply]

Merge {{Infobox Archbishopric}} here?[edit]

Seems {{Infobox Archbishopric}} only has 16 transclusions and its parameters are mostly in common with this Bishopric template. Would it be appropriate to add an Archbishop option here and merge the templates? Or could all this be merged into {{Infobox official post}}, as this infobox replacement suggests?
