I agree with you when it's rendered at 20px, but try comparing the following two templates:

Aaaah, that's MUCH better, back to the grey. I don't find it dull, actually. It's authoritative, and is nicely set off by the narrow yellow band to the left. Nice. TONY (talk) 06:34, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
