Olympic medals - Individual v. Team[edit]

I really see no need for a separate line item for the Olympic team event for two reasons:

  1. An Olympic medal is an Olympic medal, regardless of what event in which it was earned.
  2. The table immediately below specifies the events (year and discipline) in which each medal was earned. Separating them above is unnecessarily redundant.

Sorry, but I have to disagree in this case. Unlike relays in athletics, swimming etc., the figure skating team event is a separate discipline from individuals and should be marked as such. Henni147 (talk) 20:25, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

National Championships[edit]

Henni147, please advise what I need to do to the template at Camden Pulkinen in order for it to render properly. Bgsu98 (Talk) 21:36, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Bgsu98: Just finished the additions of Nationals. You may check "example 2" in the template documentation. What you need to do is to replace |nationals=Japan with |nationals=U.S.. That should render properly. Henni147 (talk) 21:39, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please check out Camden Pulkinen. It is still not rendering properly. Bgsu98 (Talk) 21:46, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Bgsu98: Done. You have to add the |nationals= parameter to both templates, the full medal table and the single medal entries.
Also, take care to use |module= for adding the {{Figure skating infobox medals}} template, not |medaltemplates=. That parameter is outdated and doesn't display the template as it should. Especially the collapse function is messed up. Henni147 (talk) 21:54, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! Bgsu98 (Talk) 22:07, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome. If there are any other issues, please feel free to scream :D Henni147 (talk) 22:16, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Asian Games[edit]

@Bgsu98: Hi! I just had a thought regarding the Asian Winter Games in the infobox. It's the only listed event that is regionally restricted to one continent and has no real equivalent like an "American Winter Games" or "European Winter Games". It's a competition exclusive to Asian athletes, and I wonder if that might be a reason to omit it from the infobox. But I'm completely open to other opinions and don't mind if the event stays. I never understood its inclusion in the first place. Bgsu98 (Talk) 09:47, 29 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
