Template talk:Ffd top

I was bold and made a couple small changes to this template to make it more like the other xfd top templates, unfortunately, it seems that people are not using the template as directed.

First, closing editors are not subst the template, so all my changes affect prior closes.

Second, it seems that many are not placing this below the section header, which doesn't work with IfD, because the individual discussions are not on their own pages - so if you edit an unclosed discussion above it you will run in to the template language, of course if it's transcluded it would be pretty obvious, but it's still not the right way to do things. --Doug.(talk contribs) 01:05, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Debate or discussion?[edit]

I haven't seen any true debates in AfD, RfD, CfD, TfD, or MfD, but I've seen many discussions. It seems more appropriate to modify the top boilerplate to say "The result of the discussion is" instead of the current wording. 147.70.242.40 (talk) 20:51, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
