Redirect ?[edit]

{{editprotected}}

{{Category-Class}} redirects to {{Cat-Class}}

should not this {{Disambig-Class}} redirect to {{Dab-Class}}

This would allow the standard links to WikiProject pages within each instance of the template use. :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 11:35, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

checkY Done - Good idea, the templates are equivalent in nature and completely intercompatible. Nihiltres{t.l} 16:08, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect more[edit]

Would anyone oppose moving {{Disambig-Class}} to {{Disambiguation-Class}}? We could keep the text as "Disambig", but when displayed on a project template it will (by default) say "This article has been rated as Disambiguation-Class on the assessment scale", instead of "This article has been rated as Disambig-Class on the assessment scale". JohnnyMrNinja 07:09, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

We could also keep the redirects (for ease of use), and maybe have a bot cleanup so it displays properly. JohnnyMrNinja 07:10, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
My preference is to match whatever the associated category is in Category:Articles by quality. Since the category is currently called Category:Disambig-Class articles, that's what I'd like to keep it as. But I would not object to renaming both the category and this template to Disambiguation-Class. If your goal is to have "This article has been rated as Disambiguation-Class on the assessment scale" on project templates, moving this template will not have that effect. You need to change the value of the class paramater on each talk page. You could create {{Disambiguation-Class}} as a redirect to here, and then use |class=Disambiguation to have the text display as you want it to. --Scott Alter 07:48, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Brought it here. JohnnyMrNinja 08:08, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with Scott. Better to leave it alone. RlevseTalk 10:00, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Scott said "I would not object to renaming both the category and this template to Disambiguation-Class",. You agree with this? JohnnyMrNinja 17:55, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You have to do both or neither, not only one. He also would prefer to keep it as is, as would I. "Disambig" is shorter for one thing.RlevseTalk 18:15, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
