Changing "bureaucrat note" to "renamer note"[edit]

Since bureaucrats no longer have the technical ability to rename accounts, the "Bureaucrat note" part of this template should be replaced with "Renamer note" or something like that. Does anyone else agree? --I am k6ka Talk to me! See what I have done 02:09, 11 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe supplemented, but not replaced (because of historical use). –xenotalk 02:32, 11 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I've created {{Renamer note}} in the meantime, for non-crat-pro-renamers to use. --I am k6ka Talk to me! See what I have done 22:29, 14 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Great. That helps with special:diff/666988081. Just in time for your renamer tools ;p –xenotalk 02:00, 15 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
{{CHUR|taken}} =

Renamer note: The requested username is already registered; see Special:CentralAuth. Please choose another name which is not already in use.

taken parameter only shows enwiki account[edit]

Regarding an issue at [2], {{CHU|taken|Gasp}} produces:

Clerk note: The requested username is already registered; see Special:CentralAuth. Please choose another name which is not already in use.

At the time of writing it makes the link https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Listusers&&username=Gasp&limit=1&offset=0. This does not show the name is taken, because Gasp has a SUL account but no enwiki account. Today this prevents others from creating the account anywhere. Should the link be changed to Special:CentralAuth/Gasp which does show it's taken? Or maybe there should both be a Listusers and CentralAuth link? Listusers has the advantage that you can see a list of taken usernames starting at a given string, but only accounts existing at enwiki. Is it possible to get a simlar list of all taken SUL names? I think it would make more sense to only use Special:CentralAuth, since that shows everything. Accounts are now global, so Special:Listusers isn't as useful as it once was. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 02:34, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
K6ka, PrimeHunter, since the message now links to Special:CentralAuth rather than Special:Listusers the second sentence "Please choose another name that does not appear on that list." is misleading or redundant. How about "Please choose another name which is not already in use." instead? Cabayi (talk) 19:29, 20 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
