Please change to accommodate FCS rankings![edit]

To whom it may concern:

Is there a way that the tagline about rankings can be changed to include FCS rankings? I'm specifically addressing the table of FCS wins over FBS teams in the 2021 FBS season page, but it's definitely arisen in other seasons.

The AP does not issue an FCS poll. The main polls are the STATS and Coaches Polls; the standings in FCS season pages (and by extension those in the above-linked table) are from the STATS poll. IMHO, whenever any table includes two (or more) ranked teams, with (at least) one ranked in both FBS and FCS, the tagline should read (with time zone changes as applicable for a given page):

FBS rankings from AP Poll released prior to game. FCS rankings from STATS Poll released prior to game. All times are in Eastern Time.

Think someone could hop on this? — Dale Arnett (talk) 04:38, 5 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Update: So far in the 2022 FBS season, four ranked FCS teams have defeated (unranked) FBS teams. Repeating: The AP DOES NOT issue an FCS poll!! This needs to be fixed STAT (pun not intended). — Dale Arnett (talk) 04:06, 11 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
