Alignment[edit]

Can this template be left aligned? That would be useful when it would otherwise conflict with an infobox in a short article. Schwede66 04:33, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It sure can, I'll try and find/reinvent the code I used for NZ parlbox and add it in. Mattlore (talk) 04:37, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, it was already in the code I just hadn't put it in the doc - add "|align = left" to have the parlbox on the left hand side of the page. Mattlore (talk) 04:39, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Background colours[edit]

Could somebody have a look at the background colours that the template uses. The dark blue for City Vision (e.g. Mike Lee) makes the text all but unreadable (I sense it might have something to do with no colour having been defined for City Vision, though). Schwede66 19:31, 6 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah the meta data is broken. I'm sure it was all working when I set them up at the last election. I will see if I can fix it.
Before the next election I should probably change the colour scheme to match the changes to the parlbox. Mattlore (talk) 22:56, 6 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Aha! That was easy, he was linked to City Vision instead of City Vision (Auckland political ticket). Mattlore (talk) 22:57, 6 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Much better indeed! Thanks for fixing it. Schwede66 05:42, 7 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

@Schwede66: Did we have, or do you recall, a conversation in the last couple of months about removing the colours, or at least defaulting to a grey/independent colour? Mattlore (talk) 02:47, 12 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Nope, can't remember that. I suggested somewhere within the last few weeks that the parlbox-equivalent template should not automatically link a councillor's ticket. Schwede66 03:26, 12 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, that must be what I was thinking of! Mattlore (talk) 03:31, 12 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Schwede66: I've added a seperate field for "colour", otherwise it defaults to independent grey. I've also unlinked the affiliation field. The template no longer uses political party metadata (short name, colour) like the parliament one does. Mattlore (talk) 00:00, 17 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
